2 short dreams during my nap today.

First: I'm living in some small town - hiking down to the railroad tracks to (???) - hitch a ride on a freight train, only mean to ride it a few blocks up, (it curves through the valley, a smallish town...). On the train, passing generic familiar landmarks - Wal-Mart, A&W, etc, when it's time to get off and the train speeds up, I get onto some platform which moves away from the train, but is keeping it's speed, so I can see the train racing along, but I'm racing along with it...

...finally, around some curves, through snow, it slows down and I can get off, walk back through town to the dumpster beside A&W where I cached some supplies, for all the speed and momentum it seems I haven't come as far as I thought, it's not that far a walk back...

Moving to London with Ar*****

...and I've moved back to London with Ar*****, small, poverty filled apartment in some small town just past the outskirts, fridge with a few opened packs of food in it still, a dried up green pepper, one room with rich carpet floor, Ar***** is showing me where she got a job, there's some factories or buildings blocking the view but if I walk a bit South the old nuclear plant comes into view, walking North past the edge of the building and another Nuclear plant come within view, the perspective is all wrong in this dream, the building we're walking past is a ways away...walking further North (she's going to point out where she got a job) and I start to see the outskirts of the city, old buildings, an old church, with domes and spires, etc, it's the first bit of old European history and I'm overcome with emotion, everything since I've been here last has changed, the people, they've disappeared, these landmarks are all that remain...

...she's no patience for my blubbering and introspections, disappears from the dream, now I'm faced with the prospects of reassembling my life, need to pay bills, for the daughter's flight over at Christmas, for the summer, always living on these slim margins...
