A blue-hued dream of being in a big city, glass windows reflecting everywhere, evening-ish, waiting (looking for?) someone...I'm talking to an old schoolmate, he's a bit dry, boring, I'm trying to explain who I'm waiting, looking for - I can't remember who it is ... my cousin, what's her name? I'm racking my brain and it comes to me ... "Valerie" and she appears...
And she's seeing if I'm ready to go, I am, and then we walk to a courtyard in the middle of the city, and there's a shelf, maybe 6' tall, 4' wide, metal, and on it I recognize my belongings, more than I can take with me, clothes, notebooks, miscellaneous I've collected, my things, they shouldn't be in the street like this, anyone could take them, and I find on the shelf some things I didn't know I had, I'm DEFINITELY taking these with me, there's a small cube pencil sharpener, and then there's a couple of bigger ones, out of crystal, brightly coloured, 3 holes in each side, and now, now I'm ready to go...

I'm walking up to a walled city, gated, population 4730 and at first I read 47,000, but on reading it again I was wrong.
It's on a sunny hillside, Mediterranean almost, and narrow streets, high, modernish-stone houses, and I'm in one of the houses - high ceiling, a Chinese woman is coming out, a Yoga teacher, and she's trying to tell me something, talk to me...
I look out, I'm at the far end of the city, just over the hill, and beyond the further wall I can see bears splashing in the bright blue sea - 1 bear, 2 bears, 3 bears, more...
Everyone in the house begins some sort of counting song, counting the bears as they plunge into the sea...

I'm in a house with my father not-my-father and son not-my-son. It's a smallish house, A-frame, and there's another house in the back lane on the same property.
People live in the back house, I don't know them, their house, sunny, Kootenay style with lots of hanging suncatchers and outdoor plants. The yard between the two houses is small, and filled with all sorts of plants, flowers, rubbish. Clothes hanging on hooks on vines, and going through the clothes I find shirts of my father and of my son (younger, perhaps 11 or 12).
My father-not-my-father is telling me to look out the back, he's having a driveway put in, and the back house is gone and I'm wondering where they went, the people that lived there, and why the landlord would consent to destroy a perfectly rentable house on his (?) property...
Looking up at the hill that's beside our house there's a hole in the ground, on the diagonal, with an old wooden coffin in it. "It's the ancestral burial ground of the people who lived in the back house" my father tells me, and then throws an old baby carrier up to cover the hole, the coffin was never buried, merely covered with trash.
I walk back through the yard, now that the back house is gone I discover that it's bigger than I expected, there's a hidden garden behind it...
And back in the yard I knew, sunny days, and I'm moving stuff and discovering unwashed dishes, old-granny style teacups and saucers, creamers filled with milk, everywhere, behind and around the outdoor furniture I'm finding trash, and I'm thinking this is very unlike my dad and these shirts of my son, why haven't I seen him, I understand he's my son but we should have met by now...
***Weird dream. I don't know who the other people were, only in the dream they were supposed to be my father and my son. They weren't, not at all, which accounts for the puzzlement and tone. Just fucking weird.***

I dreamed that I was in Rossland, not Rossland, looking ahead at a mountain that rose ahead of me until it vanished into clouds, everything on it close - fields, pastures, all the way up, how many kilometers high?, beautiful, pastel colors, and I thought to myself that I should learn to ski as it seems that once one began here you would never land...

I'm in a basement with X & Y (Owners of the new restaurant) and their kids, Ken (Chef, old restaurant), a few other people. It's a gloomy basement, their kids are playing retro video games, Ken is watching, when a bright white parrot flies into my face...
...and sticks to my face, my eyelid, and I manage to spy that there's a tiny hook stuck in it's wing, now in my eyelid as well, and I manage to free it, no blood, a few feathers...
...and now this parrot or cockatiel is my best friend, flying at me from everywhere, landing on my head and shoulders, and making enquiries I'm told that it's (X & Y's) or somebody else's but it seems, the way it's playing with me, allowing me to ruffle it's feathers, that it's mine...
