You only need one.
Another late night, and when I leave the restaurant there's a lady at the bus stop down the street and so I go down and wait with her. There's something about someone waiting for a bus that reassures me that a bus will be along shortly, otherwise I'd run down to the express stop and double my chances.
I've asked, before, if they knew how long the bus would be, they didn't, they never do, they just happened across the bus stop and thought they'd wait.
We're only waiting a minute when the express bus comes by, it doesn't stop here, damn!
It only takes but one person, one idiot waiting, that's all it takes, and soon there will form a line.

Hailstones the size of golf balls

Hailstones the size of golf balls, I filmed it with my little HD camcorder. Very impressive, although a little apocalyptic (and I'd have hated to have owned a car in this...), hailstones exploding, rattling the eaves, coming down like it was the end of the world.
Funny, didn't see it coming, it was grey and rainy, sure, but none of the big stormclouds one usually associates with this kind of weather.
And, despite (or perhaps because of ..) the weather the restaurant was a zoo tonight. Completely. But I'm home at a reasonable hour and I tell myself, deceive myself that it's not for too much longer.
