The Value in Being Wrong

This is undervalued in education today. I mean, in areas of rote memorization it's important that you understand the "facts" as stated, somewhat, or merely be able to repeat them as required, although perhaps not as much as we think.
But for all the rest - and by this I mean "reasoning" and "skill" - wrong is every step on the stairway to being right. The fact that our education system penalizes wrong - well - perhaps the word itself is "wrong". Maybe instead of wrong we should assign a label of "persist" or "persist and correct" the orientation or direction of reasoning. We should be praising wrong as another step on the way to right.
In reasoning, and in everything involving effort, trial and error, experimentation, what-have-you -
...is that if you persist, and know that you are wrong, eventually you will be right. Eventually you'll paint better, etc etc - that we throw it out, but our mistakes are for learning - and for others as well,
too long discouraged by painting, writing shit, panning for....wrong, wrong, wrong, but - if the fool would but persist in his folly he would become wise -
Priced to sell...

Dickering with people, answering dumb questions, arranging to be in, forever available for a showing...
If it's not priced to sell. I don't need to sell it. Fuck off. It's priced at a price I'm comfortable parting with it for . To ensure it goes to a good home. The dolls, for example, they're a symbol to me of love. When I bought them I was in love. Now I am not. But - I remember love and value it accordingly - this is the price. If you don't like it don't buy it. You know, fuck - man- fuck - I recommend against it anyways. You know - almost everyone that has been there would...
The Telescope, it's symbol of curiosity. I used to be curious. I'm already taking a big hit, let's not make it worse...
If I don't sell it I'm glad to live with it. I didn't want to sell it anyways.
But you know, just so you know, it would have been cheap at double the price.
Another one, Oz, older than I expected given how dynamic his voice was over the phone, and I was picturing the old Aussie firefighter roommate, he's finally here to pick up all his shit, from out of town, I'm gathering it all from all corners of the apartment, cupboards, under, over, behind...tallying it all up:
"$85.00 + $40.00" - $110.00..."bloody hell!..."...doesn't matter, it's gotta go, he's not unfair, but the discounts upon discounts try my patience, the inconsequential misadditions and sums, everything is priced to sell...
He's asked about a chest, looked it over, lowballed me, I was savagely pleased to sell it to another person that same day, someone with deeper pockets, and I know he'll be looking for it and kicking himself that it's gone and somehow that satisfies me...

As of late I've been binge listening to Werner Herzog on YouTube, the interviews, the stories, they get a bit repetitive. He's an accessible genius, I've seen a few of his films, but he has a lot - the first 3 - Signs of Life, Even Dwarfs Started Small, and Dieter needs to Fly - good, in moments (especially Dwarfs Started Small) - brilliant - he is already in his 20's a master of his craft, and I have to admire how relatable he is - I don't consider him as profound as Kieslowski, or as intellectual as Kubrick, but he's excellent at being him, and it is in a way like comparing Picasso and Van Gogh, you can like both. What is remarkable is his tenacity of will - that he gets things done - whatever the obstacles - and his sense of purpose. His body of work - formidable, and I'll have to take a break shortly - he's easy to watch, but there are a lot of other great films out there too.
