Meh, every time I take a screenshot of some absurdity to share Facebook thinks I'm loving it and feeds me more.
Maybe I do. These are interesting times, for sure.
Anyways, some more "Dream Homes" and doubtless endangered birds that Facebook wants to use to engage me.
Now, worth noticing, how frequently these posts show up, Sabina Catour (above) if you look at her profile posts every hour.
If she's real.
Which I doubt, I'm more of a mind to believe she's a bot that simply creates Midjourney images and posts them to Facebook, and promote those that do well.
There is no need for any human intervention, merely keep your visitors engaged.
On that note, noticing the title of the AI app - "Midjourney" - and this is where it's going - what, then, in the end, is the destination?
Meanwhile, enjoy these completely realistic renderings of endangered birds.

And, reading the posters about town advertising all manners of events and quackeries I come across another poster advertising a particular service targeted at Women - which I'd post here but it's a small town and my skepticism would be held against me.
"Licensed Soul Therapist and Past Life Regressionist.". I suppose it's no different than a Chiropractor, although I have some serious questions for the body that governs or regulates this...
Should I be reassured that it's not a Wild West out there of alternative therapies, knowing that your acupuncturist or homeopath or hot-yoga or what-have-you has been required to do some BS 'accredited' course?
Anyways, found it amusing is all. I need to invent a few quack medical treatments and then insist upon people paying me fees to License and Practice...

And, finally, home, not missing the city, not at all, not one iota, not a teeny-little bit.
It's the summing of late-stage capitalism, where the rich are being divided from the poor, the poor, unseen, invisible, walking the streets addled with their backpacks and shopping carts, and those, the security guards that patrol the malls and sacred spaces, to keep them out, themselves only a few short steps or slight misfortune away from being in the same situation.
The malls, restaurants, thrift shops, overflowing, the panic to buy more stuff, shop more, consume more, the "Live goes on as normal" when the briefest look around would assure you that nothing is even slightly, not even the teeniest bit, normal, but let's all just keep on pretending...
It's as bad here, everywhere, it's a cancer that's spreading, growing exponentially, the numbers of the disenfranchised, those without work, homes, vehicles, it's doubling every couple of years, and we're building taller skyscrapers, digging up roads, paving, the gap between the rich and the poor represented in the vertical stratification of the cities, building up, build +15 levels so that the rich never walk on the street and see the uncomfortable truths of their privilege, not that they would notice, we've become quickly blind to the invisible thousands that wander without hope, purpose or home.
Addiction is not the cause, it's the symptom, when to have 2 jobs is no guarantee that you'll be able to afford lodging or food, and why, then, would you do so? To give up your life merely to survive is slavery, done now under the guise of capitalism, a free-for all where the money's been divided and that little bit of hope is daily grown less and less.
So it goes, and I'm back to my own smaller world, but a world where I largely know the players and can make a small difference in the outcomes.

Now this was good, not because I know anything about Mr. Beast other than he's somewhat popular, but it does make some good arguments regarding his rather baleful influence. The opening claim of "Watched 1000 Hours SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO" impressed me, and it articulated a few things I've long realized to be true and recognized in myself, and hopefully should force me to act in a manner a little more in line with my integrity.
Now - while this video takes issue with the inanity of Mr Beast and the final summing up of how many years humanity has spent watching him count (1 inane video - 102 - YEARS!!! - imagine the sum of all his videos taken together). While I agree with the "Turn Away and give it none of your attention" philosophy, whether you watch him or not - he's symptomatic of a very much larger problem - this theft of our attention takes us away from people, humanity, community - and - were we all to do something with the time we waste on this nonsense we'd get - individually - great things done - as a society we'd be building pyramids daily.
Think of how much time we waste upon the internet, Facebook, Reddit - 99.9998 of any time spent there is wasted. The same with Instagram, Tik-Tok, etcetera. And the algorithms are designed to keep us "engaged" - although, in reality, they're keeping us stunned and numb when we should be righteously morally enraged at the antics of these "influencers", "Content Creators", etc.
Don't get me wrong, the internet can still be an interesting place - if you go there with something in mind. Go there looking to fill your head or waste some time and it will too readily oblige with the worst of all possible content.

Yeah, that's right. Seen a few of them on Facebook lately, short term rentals in Tiny Homes - $1800/month. Often off grid, 4X4 required. For a Tiny Home. Not a small home, a Tiny Home, 100 square feet with a loft, owners will be gone for a 2 month vacation and would "like to rent it out to somebody in need."
Mother of God this is crazy. The whole house, built top to bottom, on an old trailer bed or something, no more than $20, tops $30, 000. And - Kootenay builds are never tops, everyone out here is a carpenter but few have hammered a single nail.
Anyways, that's the rental market at the moment...
