I can't follow it all, but this is a weekly recap:
The news that Israel’s been up to it’s old “double tap” - probably where the USA learned it, the first missile kills, wounds and maims, the tank gunners then patiently wait until emergency & first aid shows up before striking again. Or the targeted killing of journalists, ongoing, there’s the news that Netanyahu has long been funding Hamas, there’s the white phosphorous being deployed in Lebanon, all of these above are war crimes and make Israel easily as repressive a regime as Iran. There's the new Apartheid ruling that any Palestinian that kills an Israeli is to be hanged, less a rule or "law" than a formalization of their foreign policy. Hanging, apparently, wasn't formally approved, only shooting, beating, rape and torture were good enough for the Palestinians, so in a perversely Israeli way they probably think they're being kind...
Then there's Russia, China’s support of Iran, and warning that if Israel deploys a nuclear weapon the state of Israel will cease to exist.
I think everyone has already come to the conclusion that that would be the best of all possible outcomes. Not the nuclear, the end of Israel.
Then there’s Trumps ongoing negotiations, the 8, 10, now 20 beautiful tankers full of Oil Iran is sending him, LOL, I wish they would, a tanker full of Ammonium Nitrate (or 20) could do some serious damage when delivered to Texas….
There’s his calling of all allies cowards for not taking over his war, his threat to just walk away and leave the Straits of Hormuz closed, his veiled threats of Nuclear Options (and he is just that crazy. Really.), there's his big beautiful ballroom, now on hold, but never has the law or a judge stopped him...
There's the threat of the US withdrawing for NATO, given the trouble they are NATO might be better off, and the rejection by Spain, Poland, Italy of US using it's airspace, the Cuba Blockade (but Russia's tanker was allowed through), there's so much going on, really, it's impossible to keep track...
And, of course, the imminence of "boots on the ground" which, given all the time Iran has had to prepare makes me think that the USA is in for a big surprise...
Which catches me up, breathe deep, the news won't refresh itself until tomorrow.

I'm out of peanuts, and the crows have taken to finding me on the rail outside my apartment in the morning, looking at me as reproachfully as a crow can, surely I've forgotten something? And so I have to head on down to Dollarama today to find some more, they've been following me down Baker and cawing, tag-teaming me, Mr. Peanut, and apparently I'm stuck...
Today, a well deserved day off, up brutally early, laundry done (4 weeks since I'd done it), now at the library, later to do some painting.
