The daughters turn to pick the film, she's been hostile at a few of my choices, the last one, Arrival, she wasn't a fan. It was a good movie. But in the spirit of teen rebellion she picks "Office Christmas Party". The boy, he's not so adverse to this, it looks funny, might have it's moments.
It does. It's inane comedy, thankfully it doesn't have Adam Sandler in it, for which I give it one star, otherwise, I was mildly amused, the boy as well, the daughter, well, she laughed. Chances are if your going to see it you'll probably like it.

Well reviewed, I take the daughter. It's good. Thoughtful. Well executed. Sci-Fi but not overburdened or overshadowed by special effects, and I like the fact that it has a strong female lead, a scientist...
The daughter, well, she doesn't like it so much. So it goes, you do what you can, but some of the seeds are lost...

A bad film by Jodorowsky is still, by a long shot, better than any great film by Hollywood.

Canadian made, can't believe I never heard of it, gorgeous effects and some interesting styles, overall, though, it get's lost in pretension and becomes silly. No worse for that than many a bigger budget Hollywood film, and I'd sooner take a chance with this over the big budget films any day of the week...

Exactly what you'd expect, more social awkwardness and faux-pas and surreal snippets of everyday life. David Brent Chasing the dream. The non-sequitur to "The Office" - but not, it's only David Brent, after all, more of a television special than a movie but if you liked "The Office" you'll like this. 3.2 Bananas.
