I get the news every day, and I've a pretty good idea.
Yes, Trump is definitely pandering to his Christian Nationalist/Zionist/White Supremacist base, but that's - for the most part - just him talking out his ass. And you can't rely on the news, as it's generally filled with distractions, like "Gulf/Lake of America" or "Tariffs" or "I'd let Iran take out Los Angelos or San Diego, it would be a small price to pay..." - all these are distractions.
Somebody else is writing the script, Trump would never have been smart enough to do it himself, but - looking at all the hype AI has been generating for itself (and - most of isn't true and ALL of it's preventable), looking beyond the Iran War and ICE and daily distractions there's something - for lack of better wording - a lot more sinister afoot.
